Boss on a hill

The boss stands on top of the hill. Boss is sweating from head to toe. Boss seems still — the heart is doing all the moving. Dungdungdungdungdungdungdung… It is metronomic. It will take a while to slow down.

The boss boss stands on a ledge leading on the trail leading to the top. Boss boss is sweating out of the ears yet that smile is a beam of light. Boss boss stands loose, heartbeat normal, resting against the stone to the left.

The boss boss boss is sitting on a plastic chair far away in a tiny room filled with buttons, beeps and boops, keeping an eye on boss and boss boss. A drone flies noisily overhead and boss wishes there was a stone to fling and silence it.

Even as boss wishes, an eagle, wings spread wide, tackles the drone like prey, grabs it by its feet and tries to take a chunk out of the body before letting it fall to its tattery end. Boss boss boss is in a loop, much like the drone, and calls boss boss boss boss who does not answer.

Boss is happy on top of the mountain and the quiet soothes the heart. Boss sees no eagle, just listens as irritating sound js no more. The breeze is gentle right now but Boss’ knees are tensed in preparation for the occasional gust that is coming. The heart beats slow as the drone approaches the ground.

Boss boss is almost asleep leaning on the rock, a gentle breeze playing with the sleeve of the shirt. Boss boss boss is alternating between a phone in the hand and head in the hands. Beeps, boops and sobs will be heard by anyone who passes the tiny room.

The eagle swoops and soars, each flap of its wings a loud whoosh in thin air. The drone has been a waste of energy to chase. Hunger is making itself more insistent. It must eat soon. Whooshwhooshwhooshwhooshwhoosh…
