The cyclone saga – End

Is the power back on ?

Nope.

Then it time.

For what?

To go shopping.

Groan….

The power and network situation didn’t look good. I knew we would have to go shopping. I groaned, I didn’t want to, but had to.

We borrowed S’s car. He was happy to – he had a shopping list of his own. I cursed him as I drove the car. She made lists of stuff that we had to buy. I prayed that shops would be open. We found one not far ahead. Lucky us.

I insisted we buy twice of what we need – water cans, veggies, noodles, cereals, stuff in boxes * 2 times – stuff to last a good month, forget days. Then we returned. Only to find the power supply had returned too.

Moreover, M our help had left back the meat we had told her to take. Now there was too much of everything – too much meat, too many veggies, too many boxes. Now what?

I looked at her. She walked into the room, looked at me, left the door ajar. A light drizzle began. I kept the bags, followed her in, shut the door. K went to his room to meditate with a beer. The cyclone outside has passed.

Inside though….
