Sweaty summer days

On Sunday morning, i managed, without trying, to wedge an ankle between the road and the bike i was riding while getting breakfast for the parents.

In the process, this has become the most expensive meal any of us have ever eaten.

Mother has been unable to walk for a couple of years now. I’ve joined her, temporarily, in solidarity. Her caretaker has been called back after a break. She’ll be here a while. Now that’s an unplanned expense.

The ankle itself has no break, nor does the bike. That is not saying much though, as the finances cannot catch a break. The heat is on. We are all sweating.

The breakfast was tasty, though.
